It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Mark Beard, a cherished friend, longtime Illinois resident, and beloved member of the Williamsville community. Mark passed away on Thanksgiving Day 2025, leaving behind many who will forever treasure the joy, friendship, and warmth he brought into their lives.
Mark’s friendships often spanned decades, including one that began in 1970 with a fellow athlete and classmate who fondly remembers their shared birthday and the many spirited basketball games between the Elkhart Redbirds and the Williamsville Bullets during their junior high and high school years. Mark carried that same kindness, camaraderie, and good-humored competitive spirit throughout his life.
Those who knew Mark will remember his friendly smile at local craft shows, where he and his wife Terri lovingly shared their well-known homemade peanut brittle and other treats—an extension of the generosity and warmth that defined him.
Mark leaves behind family and friends who will forever miss his presence, his laughter, and his unwavering kindness. As those who loved him gather in grief, they also hold close the many memories and moments of joy he brought into their lives.
May he rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort in knowing he touched so many hearts. Until we meet again…
