The community of Meadville, the bodybuilding world, and countless friends and loved ones are mourning the heartbreaking and unexpected loss of Antonio “Quez” Cummings, who passed away peacefully while taking a nap. His passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew him — as a champion athlete, a devoted husband, a cherished friend, a beloved trainer, and a man whose presence lifted every room he entered.
Antonio was more than a decorated bodybuilder — though his accomplishments were exceptional. In 2021, he became both the Bodybuilding Overall Champion and the Classic Physique Overall Champion, an achievement that stunned even him. Friends recall telling him, “Bro, you won both classes,” only for Antonio to laugh humbly and reply, “Me either — I thought I was going to get 3rd.” That humility never left him.
In 2022, he encouraged a nervous friend who was considering backing out of a show. When told, “Bro, I’m pulling out. It’s too big for me,” Antonio simply responded, “See you at check-ins tomorrow. You’re going to win both classes just like I did.” He didn’t just say the words — he lived them. He spent the night running posing routines until exhaustion, pushing, guiding, and believing in others with the same unwavering confidence he rarely gave himself.
His talent was undeniable, but his impact reached far beyond the stage. At 531 Fitness, Antonio wasn’t just a trainer — he was family. His laugh, his energy, and his ability to uplift others made him the heart of the gym. He believed in people even when they struggled to believe in themselves, offering encouragement that came straight from his soul. His clients, colleagues, and friends describe him as someone with a heart of pure gold — the kind of man whose kindness was as strong as his physique.
Antonio’s personal relationships were at the core of who he was. He was a loving husband to Stacy Lynn Cummings, a devoted son, and a friend who showed up with genuine love in everything he did. Those close to him speak of shared memories, laughter-filled moments, and the quiet strength he offered during life’s hardest battles.
His passing has left many heartbroken — from church family at TRC Meadville, where prayers are being lifted for Elder Stout and the family, to fellow athletes, gym members, and all who were touched by his encouragement and loyalty.
Antonio’s legacy is one of strength, humility, compassion, and unwavering faith in others. The world has lost a good man — a champion not only in titles, but in heart.
Our deepest condolences go out to his wife, Stacy Lynn Cummings, his family, friends, the bodybuilding community, and everyone whose life was made better by his presence.
Rest in peace, Quez. Thank you for every smile, every lesson, every prayer, and every ounce of love you poured into this world. You will be forever missed, and forever remembered.
